A selection of silk and silk blend fibres that can be made into paper, needlefelted or spun.
Silk is a very versatile fibre, but in its pure form it won't felt (unlike animal fibres). If you wish to felt it it will need carding with an animal fibre first (such as merino wool). The tops, throwsters and cocoon strippings are perfect to make into luxurious silk paper. Silk noils have quite a short staple, so can be tricky for beginners to hand spin, but the tops have a long staple and can be easier, though a little slippier.
