Dyeing

Dyeing

A selection of undyed yarns and fibres to dye with natural and synthetic, hot water dyes and cold water dyes. Create your own unique colour schemes from the comfort of your own home knowing that no-one else will have such blends. Generally speaking: Animal (protein) yarns and fibres require acid (vinegar) or hot water dyes. Vegetable (cellulose) yarns and fibres require fibre reactive, procion or cold water dyes. ...but some practitioners may heat up cold water dyes to use on wool etc, so there are no hard and fast rules - check your individual dye-stuffs before you begin.
