BD21 3BB...or BD21 3DU
We discovered that customers on foot were being lead a merry dance by Google Maps with the BD21 3BB postcode, so please try BD21 3DU if Google or your SatNav takes you down back streets.
TEl: 01535 669141 (we're a small team, so please leave a message if we don't answer straight away)
Most starting points will see you getting to the A650, using the map below you'll need to be looking out for;
If approaching from Bradford:
As you get to the roundabout "A" you should see a hardware store called 'Pickards' (it has a steel Triceratops/random dinosaur outside, yes really!) on the left. Go straight forward at the roundabout and get into the right hand lane, this is signed "Skipton" and will become the middle lane as you get to the lights. Straightforward here on roundabout "B" (the two lanes merge just past the roundabout) and on your left in about 100/150m (immediately before McDonald's) will be "Lawkholme Lane" - turn onto this road. Keep going until you get to a mini roundabout, go straight on onto a bridge (over the railway) and slow as you get to the end of the bridge as the entrance on the right is the one you need for the carpark - you'll see a sign for "Aire Valley Business Centre". See image below. Once in the car park you're free to park where you want. Please now see "OUR SHOP ACCESS" below for how to get in.
If approaching from Skipton:
Follow the A629 until you get to roundabout "C" and take the first exit. You'll see a retail park and a petrol station on the right over the road. Go past these and immediately after McDonald's on your right in about 20m will be "Lawkholme Lane" - turn onto this road. Please now see "PARKING & OUR SHOP ACCESS" below for how to get in.
Other directions:Directions from Leeds - Directions from Huddersfield - Directions from Harrogate
We are open the first seven days of every month between 10am and 4pm.
This means we're open weekdays and weekends through that period (1st - 7th). We are also open Bank holidays that fall into this pattern (except Christmas & New Year).
PARKING & OUR SHOP ACCESS:
There is a huge car park at Airedale Mills. Please observe any reserved zones, but there should be lots of space at the weekend. It's FREE - the "Pay & Display" machine is not in use.
From the car park you will be able to see our space right next to a big loading bay with the sign "BAY 5" to the left (and usually a turquoise car parked directly in front) (image 4). We also have a sign in the window at the top of our entrance staircase. During the week the main car park closest to the mill is likely to be quite busy, but if you find a space in an unreserved spot by all means park there. Otherwise drive through the car park with the mill to your left (image 1) and you will come to a huge open space where you can park anywhere (image 2).
There can be wagons coming up and down the road, so carefully walk back up to the mill keeping within the yellow line (image 3). When you reach the corner of the building (as it curves round to the right) go past the corner staircase and our staircase is the flight perpendicular to the building directly to the right of a black fabric flanked loading bay (image 5).
Head up the stairs and press the bell and we will let you in (image 6).
The disabled access is through the main body of the building (reception). Please contact us if you require disabled access and we will suggest the best options for you.
The full range of yarn featured on our website will be available in our shop, plus a few extra one-off bargains and new yarns yet to be added.
We can accept all major credit and debit cards and cash. Sorry, no cheques or husbands for payments!
If you have received a voucher from us please either print it out or show it to us on your phone and present it at the till. We are unable to exchange vouchers for cash and no change will be given.
We have wi-fi available in case you are coming with a partner or child who need to be permanently connected to the internet. We will also have a couple of sofas and some chairs, so you can relax in between browsing. There are toilets within our shop space.
We have self-serve tea and coffee available for "free" (see below).
Guy nearly killed himself running the London Marathon in 2017 and raised a huge amount for MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association), which included donations from our tea and coffee drinkers. We have decided to keep an active MNDA collection box, so rather than charging a fixed price for refreshments, we invite you to make a donation to boost his ongoing fundraising coffers.
