WHAT IS IT?
DY370 is a lovely, medium weight double knitting pure wool yarn with a gentle slub running throughout. It’s soft, squishy and perfect to dye.
WHAT'S IT FOR?
All our undyed yarns can be dyed with hot or cold water dyes using tools and equipment you would have in your kitchen. Wool needs to be dyed with hot water or acid dyes and can also be dyed with natural dyes – into solid or unique space-dyed colourways.
The texture of this yarn will add subtle character to all types of projects and is ideal for knitting or crocheting as DK into accessories such as cowls, scarves and hats. The loose twist of this slub yarn means it will felt very easily into soft, textured felt which adds an extra dimension of possibilities and the soft slubs could also be needlefelted into place. Best used as a weft yarn, rather than a warp and will work well in tapestry weaving and peg looms.
Also excellent to re-create hair when making dolls and animal figures, Santa’s beards and sheep!
