WHAT IS IT?
An absolute classic in the field of machine knitting, but in some sizzling hi-viz shades! Pizzazz is a premium acrylic 1ply yarn (also known as 2/30) with a lovely soft handle and fluorescent range of colours available in a practical sized 250g cone (the same thickness and quality as Embrace).
WHAT'S IT FOR?
The perfect yarn for machine knitting on a standard gauge machine, Pizzazz will drape beautifully, whilst being soft to the touch to create a fine, lightweight fabric. Available in a small range of fluro colours so you can create electrifying combinations of stripes and patterns, Fairisle and intarsia with ease. Combine with black or grey from the Embrace range to make your projects pop. If you want to ply it up to a thicker weight, or play around with a marled effect, it’s recommended to use 3 strands for 4ply and 2 strands for 3ply on a standard gauge.
Being machine washable it’s also a really practical yarn and a great price for experimenting if you are new to machine knitting.
If you have patience there is no reason why you can’t crochet or knit Pizzazz by hand into delicate pieces - 2 ends would work up as approx. laceweight. Also great to make lovely delicate lace and tassels.
This yarn does have a slight “give” which is great for knitting and whilst not perfect for weaving, it could give some interesting effects if a little elasticity is required. Strong enough really just for the weft.
